is a Thai salad prepared with sweetcorn and other vegetables such as cucumber, tomatoes or snake beans. All
ingredients are lightly pounded in a clay mortar and dressed with a mix of lime juice, fish sauce and palm sugar. Depending on the recipe, the salad is also
mistakenly called “Yum Khao Phot” (
) or “Tam Thaeng Khao Phot” (
), when cucumber is used
in addition to the corn.
