“Pad Mama Goong” (
) is a simple wok dish where Mama instant noodles are stir-fried together with prawns. Optionally,
various vegetables, eggs, or mushrooms are also used. For seasoning, garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, and oyster sauce are employed. The second part of the name
comes from Thailand’s most famous instant noodle manufacturer “Mama”, “Pad” is a wok dish, and “Goong” means prawns.
