Nam Prik Ong (
น้ำพริกอ่อง) is a northern Thai dip made from minced pork and tomatoes. It is prepared with a paste made from dried
chilis, garlic, lemongrass, shallots and shrimp paste or fermented soya beans “Thua Nao” (ถั่วเน่า). The dip is usually served with raw vegetables or sticky
rice.
