According to the book “Thailand: The Cookbook”, “Nam Jim” (
น้ำจิ้ม) is a “Very Spicy Thai Dipping Sauce” made from fish sauce, chilis,
garlic and lime. However, it may simply be a regional name for “Prik Nam Plaa”, a spicy sauce with the same ingredients.
