“Mok Normai” (
) is a dish from Isaan where bamboo shoots are mixed with various herbs, spices and other ingredients, wrapped
in banana leaves and then steamed. Depending on the recipe, the bamboo shoots are also mixed with meat such as pork belly. Eggs and sometimes coconut milk are
used for binding.
