Lon Naem

"Lon Naem" ( หลนแหนม ) is a northern Thai dip made from fermented sausage (Naem) and coconut milk. It is seasoned with coriander roots, shallots, chilis and palm sugar, resulting in a balanced combination of sour, salty and slightly sweet flavours. Lon Naem is typically served with fresh vegetables. The dip can also be found under the reversed name "Naem Lon" ( แหนมหลน ).
