The meat is stir-fried spicy with southern Thai curry paste and several chilies, which usually makes the dish very hot. Typically, this curry is garnished with finely chopped kaffir lime leaves before serving. There are also variants of this dish where thinly sliced meat cubes are used instead of chopped meat.
