“Gai Satay” (
ไก่สะเต๊ะ) or “Satay Gai” (
สะเต๊ะไก่) is the name given to chicken skewers that are marinated and
grilled. The chicken meat is marinated in coconut milk, turmeric and various other spices before being placed on skewers and grilled over open flame. These
skewers are typically served with a peanut dip and the cucumber dip “ajaad”.
