“Gai Pad Nam Prik Pao” (
ไก่ผัดน้ำพริกเผา
) is a Thai stir-fry dish where chicken is fried in chilli paste and deglazed with a
mixture of various sauces. Depending on the recipe, the meat is first breaded and deep-fried. There are variations where fresh vegetables are mixed with the
meat or where Thai basil is simply mixed in at the end. The dish is sometimes also called “Gai Pad Prik Pao” (
ไก่ผัดพริกเผา
).
